so there i was.. inspired by my friend..off to the gorges, to the clouds, to the valleys, to the heaven.. they say one life isnt enough to see it all, but to me even one moment is enough if you can live it completely, so were the moments i gathered there…
Starting with the excitement of a trip planned in seven days, it turned out to be the most wonderful one till date. The endless sky, the stretch of the green meadows, steepness of the cliffs, heights of waterfalls falling from there and the deep gorges, the vastness, the scale of everything around you and the realization of how tiny and insignificant we are to control anything at all, kind of makes you free. Free from the unnecessary need of running for control.
There were excitement and joy mingled at every step, the heavenly feeling of a bike ride on a never-ending black strip with the blue curtain sky hanging all around and deep green gorges and meadows running by your side. It’s too beautiful, engulfing and mesmerizing to express in words. So was the thrill of walking on wire bridges that gives you a chill of hanging in mid air. It was beauty and beauty all around. Too much to soak in, just in four days. With those high waterfalls, crystal blue rivers, countless butterflies on trek trails and the sounds of gushing wind and gurgling river in a foggy haze, all starts making you feel dizzy, “Is this real? or is this a dream?” and you can feel without a doubt, the ‘abode of clouds’, Meghalaya was a heaven all around.
I guess the only thing i was missing was a bunch of wild horses running free in those meadows and that i left to my imagination. 🙂

Beautiful photos and a lovely narrative Swarnali. Hard to pick a favourite, but that stomach churning bridge shot is a stand out!
