Hi there!

I am Swarnali.

An artist, bibliophile and wanderlust by heart, geologist by profession. Love to go to the mountains, meet new people and make new friends. Dreaming and working towards being a full-time artist and world-traveller.

Wish me luck!!:)

    1. Yeah. Being a geologist was pretty cool until i got stuck in a really boring job. I guess its hardest for a geologist to be confined in small place. πŸ˜‰ We think in large scale and that’s why the world feels like a more appropriate home. πŸ™‚

      1. by work if you mean job, then i hate talking about it πŸ˜› if you mean geology i guess some two years ago i last discussed about it passionately. right now all i do is, paint, write, make weird noises in my guitar and plan for my next travel πŸ˜€

      2. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ my guitar is also going to reach that phase soon I guess. πŸ˜‰ by the way will definitely tell you about geology sometime, specially the part about how The Himalayas formed and fossils.. My love for geology still exists for these two πŸ™‚

      3. hhahaha!!! i ll try get mine dusted soon!
Talking of the himalayas, i cant help but think of the fossils i saw in kaza..! it is rather unfortunate that i did not get to spot fossils out in the open in langza and hikkim, for want of time..!
        Tethys sea, wasnt that?!

      4. That’s the sad part. I only went to sandakfu-phalut. Thats it. Though i worked on the Arunachal Himalayas for a project i missed my field work there not once but twice 😦 pure bad luck. But the good part is i still have the whole himalaya left to explore. Its kind of Mecca for me. πŸ˜„

Since you say fossils, i think you should head out to the spiti valley..! they say its a treasure trove of fossils..!

      6. Ohh sorry actually Saketi is pretty famous geologically πŸ˜€ my mistake. Well this time it was just field trip so tight schedule.. Next time will keep Kaza in my checklist for sure. And your blog pics are already motivating for that πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Swarnali – just wandered around your stories. It’s very feminine, dreamish and uplifting. I also love to paint, but rather with crayons as with brush-colours I always make a mess, hehee. Nice goal you have, determining where you want to be is already a big step kin reaching reaching it.

  3. I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It’s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all site owners and bloggers
made good content as you did, the internet will
be much more useful than ever before.
